I was always very passionate about baking. Some of my fondest childhood memories involve baking with my mom (pictured with me) and my grandma. I was still in diapers when they put me in charge of utensil maintenance and batter sampling for quality checks (I was licking the spatulas clean). I remember being around 10 and making plans with my cousin to open a restaurant - He’d take care of the main courses while I was to handle the desserts!

When I moved from Montréal to Lacombe in 2020, I really started caressing that dream of opening my own little cake business. After going from one unfulfilling job to another, lots of trial and error, years of practice, and a crazy amount of support from my loved ones, M.I.L.C. was born!

With M.I.L.C., I wanted to create cakes that are affordable, while still being cute, trendy, and personalized. I wanted to offer something professional, but that doesn’t look commercial - Something that makes you say “THAT’S SO ME!”

I want to say a special thank you to my mom for her never-ending support. She (just like SO MANY others) has encouraged me to pursue this dream that I know she shares with me. She always said that when she retires from teaching, she’d work alongside me in my bakery. Although we are four provinces away from one another, she keeps finding ingenious ways to help me and my business, and be present every step of the way - just like she said she would.
